There is a big difference between removing overspray from airless sprayer and cleaning up globs or drips of paint.

Overspray will usually clean up with attention to the details of TACT (CHAT). USe a boosted prespray. I think Larry's citrus product would work just fine. USe as much heat as available and agitate. On some carpet this could eb a white or beige pad under a rotary machine or as simple as a Grandi Brush.

For globs of paint, the work gets much more involved. A pair of duck bill napping shears comes in handy at times.

What do you mean? is it the purple stuff that you put on to clean the pvc before applying the glue to water pipes?

I get clear pvc cleaner; purple stuff is binder. Make sure to apply to globs; use solvent for the light stuff.

I use rubbing alchohol for paint spots. IF there is a whole lot of paint, then I recommend new carpet. :)
