I charge $1.50 for one side, $2 for both sides. I either steam clean them as if I were cleaning carpet (use an acid rinse or prespray, such as Liqua Acid, on the fringes) or soak in a rug bath if appropriate. It's so easy I would definitely not send to another guy, make the $$$ for yourself!

Dry on a rack or as quickly as possible.

Do you have a pit? A duster? Drying towers? Rug specific chems?
    Real good liability coverage?
Remember Rugs are not Carpet, Like driving and flying, both can get you there but the latter requires specialized equipment and skill/Training, to accomplish without getting hurt..

    Good luck
    Scott

The best part I now dry clean carpets again .. and the going rate here is $2.00 to $3.25 a foot for rugs and gen carpet .45 cents a foot .. and so so easy !!

I'm more than happy to clean her carpets for 1.25 a foot and she is happy as well !!

Even though I have my own Mini plant, Many a time I find it very profitable to haul a load in to DA Burns in Seattle. If we get back loged, a bunch in for repeirs or get an overwhelming amount of rugs in for just cleaning I will run down on a Sat Morning. Pick up the next Saturday, My relationship with them has been great, they have bent over backwards to have my repairs and cleaning all compleated with in the week if possible. Not only do I get a 30% discount from their prices, My prices are higher than theirs so I make a min of 60 to 100% for just handling Pick up and delivery.

Jarred, No, claude's employees were all scared of rugs, They took them to Bob Beamer's Fuzzy Wuzzy's rug cleaning ing Seattle In fact Claude's bought a few they ruined. Claude's didn't start doing them again till I got there. His manager at the time wanted me to sign a paper that if I ruined any I would personaly pay for them cause there was no money or insurance for doing them. When I started with Claude he was still renting a building. I moved in into an old barn that carpet care paid to have remodeled, roofed and sided. I was in the process of building a rug mini plant when the buisness was sold. After the buisness was sold Gabby lived in the old office and Dri Eaz made the building their welding shop. My son lived there also for a couple of years..

Tommie would refer some of his rug cleaning clients to me occasionally.
