    Until now there has not been a decent lip glide for many wands. Finally there is one that is showing promise and even out performing full size glides ata fraction of the price. And with the huge 400% increase in Teflon prices some are looking for an economical alternative that actually works. Well we have found it. But as of now it is only available for the Prochem wands. The Quad,Titanium,Uph and PC Stair tool. They work so well we have switched all of our Ti wands to the new lip glides. The vacuum lift/cfm are great! Here are two videos of how to install them;

    Prochem Quad wand;

    So the lip glide only goes on one lip? Does it reduce the friction as much as a full size glide making the wand easy to push? Inquiring minds want to know.

    Lip glides work great. I have been using them for over a year. Have one on my Prochem Titanium- fits great with a little trimming. They do make it much easier to push and they are pretty cheap too.

    It also looks like it cuts down on the size of the opening.

    I'd like to try one and see how it feels against the holed Greenglide. If there isn't too much difference in lockdown it would be nicer to have a lip glide for the sake of more CFM and suckin up the little bits.

    Good stuff Rob, How long are you allowing the plumbers glue to cure for before in field use?

    I bought the ones from Ebay and i recon there OK. I used them on both lips. No glue they stay on just fine.
    Makes the wand much easier to move around. No whistling of air flow noise

    How long will they last ??????????? at that price it doesn't matter. I wish i had bought a few sets to cut down postage.

    Rob, so the price at the store is for a pair of lip glides or for a single one only.

    Also, are they better, same, or worse than a full glide.

    And if they work for residential, berber and commercial as well. I know with full glides there are different types for different type of carpets.

    Price is for one which is all you want or need. (Though I am open to discounting for purchase of two)

    All my techs on all my trucks have switched to these new lip glides.

    Seems to work fine on all types of carpets.

    Which wand do you have?

    Bought 1 at my local supplier that looks identical to the one in the vid and put it on my 12" PMF wand which has the same width lips and gap as the quad wand in the vid, it looked the same when on (about 1/8 of an inch gap between the glide and the front lip) but when I hooked it to my hose it sucked the inner part of the glide into the front lip and total blocked the air passage. Needless to say I'm glad i never glued it on because it came off quickly and was promptly thrown across the room in a rather violent manner! My supplier had never heard of that before, they are the ones that sold me my wand too. They are checking into other glides for me.

    Update. It wasn't the lip glide moving, it was the lip sucking in because of the added restriction the lip glide created. I plan to mod my wand and make an extender for the back of the rear lip to hopefully reduce wand stick without causing a restriction. I can't believe some are running these glides on both lips. Even with one on it seems way to restrictive to me.

    Buy some 1 inch PVC pipe and get you a sonic multi tool at menards and cut you a slot to slip over your wand.

    Then drill either some slots or holes in the bottom.

    Plug up the ends and there ya go a very inexpensive home made GLIDE.

    Not too bad of an idea but the more I think about it I really don't like glides, too much restriction, especially with my stupid little porty wand. Just a bad design overall, I only paid $200 new for it because i will be building my own wands soon.

    Magic glides are really great, I have used them for year and each one lasts me about 3-5 months. They are only $10! How cheap do you have to be to try and make it out of PVC?
