does anyone have one & does it work as good as it looks? It looks good but I bet it costs a lot. Bill Busy Bee Carpet, Tile/Grout & Natural Stone Restoration :: Sacramento Area Natural Stone Care Specialists
It does work as good as it looks and it costs the same as the original version. At $449.00 it is worth every penny!
We just ordered two of these new tools. Should be here by the end of the week. As soon as I get feed back from our guys as to how they like them, I 'll report back. The Wizard.
I tried one and did not care for it at all.........I know 3 guys that have one and and they don't like it either...you cant scrub with the thing..you can only really go one direction... best bang for your buck............is this...it hold good pressure ....much cheaper..and you can push it not just pull it......
Have the new one, and I like it. Over the years I used the one Jim shows, the CFR tool and the Prochem tool. I love the control of the new HM tool better. Just be careful, I set the temp of my TM up a little too high (235) and the tool was hot to handle. The production version is much better than the prototype unit I saw. As far as scrubbing goes, I don't use my carpet wand to scrub and I don't expect my upholstery tool to scrub either. Just get a horsehair brush for the scrubbing action, its a lot safer.
Sorry......I keep forgetting that everything has to be more specific........ Scrubbing...is only use to explain the action of being able to move the tool back and forth....
We also used the tool Jim uses for years & still have it for a backup mostly. When the Drimaster first came out it was interesting to us so we decided to get one & it has been our main tool since. I have had very good ressults with it on everything from silk to herculon with GREAT results. We are actually waiting for a little more feedback from others on the newest Drimaster before purchasing it let me know how yall like it Ian.
Like the new Drimaster.tool better, it's wider, lighter and the control does not get in the way. Jon-Don sells out of them often, had to wait 3 weeks to get mine.
i have new dry master tool and i use it only two times. I got to clean a small round part of the upholstery and one time a windows skirt. It was ok and easy , but for regular cleaning the tool is NOT good as they say. the water flow goes in one way loosing the main pressure , using a regular tool where the pressure strike forward the surface its much better results. Trust me , 445$ its not wort it,
I have had the Drimaster upholstery tool for several years now. The main advantage of the tool is it is very light weight. I have worked many years with a heavy Castex upholstery tool which I still use occasionally, but trying to clean an entire living room set with this thing wears me out. The drimaster is so light weight it makes the job significantly easier. I prespray the upholstery first always and brush the areas that have heavy soil before starting. Then I simply rinse the fabric with the Drimaster quickly, easily, and efficiently. I like to use an electric sprayer with a good upholstery prespray in it. The one I use holds 5 quart jugs that are the same as the Hydroforce jugs.. Normally I can do a 3 piece set, couch, loveseat, and chair with one gallon or less mixed.
I really do like the new upholstery tool. Lighweight, wide, and leaves upholstery dry to the tough. Easy to control flow too. Only small complaint is that the new one is much louder than the first one when you do not have it on the couch. It almost whistles with vacuum.
