Not impressed one bit. Sorry but no uniforms or shoe covers. One guy was wearing girl shoes it looks like? The wand technique was not even getting a clean extraction rinse. Where was the pre spray? I think I missed that part, Well not to discourage you. But with more work it can be made better. Fine tune it to give a more professional image.

Well, not too bad for a newbe but trying to do every step and
video it I'm sure you forget. I think, lol. I have to agree about
the open shoes, not good. Also when the person presprayed
you only showed spraying the spots. What machine did you use?
Hot or cold extraction? What brand was your 175?
    Nick

I think the strokes are too fast, and the position on wand is not right.
tha tmachine is the versa and you used 9 inches pad, i think is way to heavy for a carpet, the machine is around 90 pounds and the whole weight is in 9 inches diameter, instead the 13 or 17 inches, i think us way to heavy.
You will get it right, buy videos learn a little more, i am pretty sure everybody in the beginning did the same, but now it is easier to learn because of the internet.

Thank you everyone for your comments, I want to learn and I need the professionals opinion. First I would like to say, this was a neighbors carpet, the carpet was going to be replace, we volunteered to clean to see how difficult it would , what chemical to use the traffic lanes were black as tar, it was red stains pet hair as you see , just trashed with food. I was delighted we had the opportunity to practice before going out in the real world . Also we didn;t have our uniforms on because it was practice. I will make a professional video the next time.

    Again

    Thank you
    Essie

Essie, I would recommend that you view other videos out there on the net and compare theirs to yours and you might be able to find a few ways to tweak it. Please do not feel offended if you see some negative comments about your video, but others might see things that you do not. Welcome to the forum it is a great place to be to learn for free. Look forward to seeing the new and improved version down the road. wayne aka spotman

invest in a commercial vacuum (pro team, prochems pv12, sebo ) not something your clients would have in their closets. Also, i know almost every cleaner loves, to leave chevrons behind to show the customer the finish look, but try going over your wand passes twice to elimanate wand marks, especially if your using a glided wand you will like the results much better. Good luck.

Essie, PM the wandwizzard he helped me with my wand stroke method. You can also type in "stroke method" on the search bar and that will help with past discussions on this topic. You want to improve and you will. Good luck, don't go live on the vid yet. Make a new and improved better one.

Was this video to critique your cleaning or to show customers how you clean via Youtube?

We took the video to practice on a trashy carpet which as stated our neighbors house. She thought the carpet could not come clean. The carpet was clean, today we actuall reclean the carpet today to see if any dirt was left in the carpet and it was clean. We spent several hours cleaning the rest of the rooms. Applied different pre-sprays to test the chemicals and she was amazed. I know the quality of the video you guys would n;t consider professional , just wanted comments on how to improve with carpet cleaning and video.

    Thank you for your comments!

In all respect to his vacuum he is using a sanitaire duralux. We use the same unit but the hepa heavy duty model. These vacuums are dual motor and come with excellent edging tools. The model he is using is around 200-250 our models sell for 500+. Its not like he is using a eureka or a dirt devil. I think that is the one think he had right!
