was looking for some links and help in looking into equipment such as those floor grids for washing out rugs in a wash pit but the plastic grid that keeps the rugs off the floor. Also the water broom and air duster I see on many you tube videos. So where are these people getting these items. And now I see the floor drying system, looks like a home made deck with multiple holes in it. What size are people using . any info would be great
Lisa the Rug Chick! Look her up here, search topics, and go to..... Rugchick.com. Best free knowledge you will ever find on the subject!
MasterBlend carries some of these items. They can be special ordered from Interlink Supply, but only one or two fo our locations actually keep all that in stock. Other sources include Tom at Centrum Force in Michigan, Dusty Roberts of Rug Badger in Canada, Clark Lancaster down in Alabama and also Ruth Travis / Jeff Bishop team.
Jeff, no one "manufacturers" these items themselves, they all simply distribute, so you can find the sources of just about everything being sold and marked up to clean rugs today. The pond liners, the interlocking tiles for both dusting and washing, etc. If you go to my blog and opt into my list in that says "Rug Disasters" that will get you access to first the most common mistakes cleaners make when handling rugs, and then you will get a link to my Rug Secrets Insider's Guide to this industry, which tackles a lot of the myths and misinformation in the business right now... and also at the end lays out different ways to set up your shop, and the various options of tools and setup based on your budget. I literally laid out the answers to the most common questions that I get every week from cleaners about rugs... I have the most visited and referenced rug cleaning authority site in the industry, which I set up when I stopped training for several years, to make sure there was solid education and answers going out there, without you having to pay a fortune for it. The site and the reports are free => Rug Chick Blog When you opt in, you also get on my list, and when the training resources and workshops of mine are announced in a few weeks, you will get first word on them. You won't get lots of email from me trying to buy lots of expensive equipment and classes... you'll get some options that will fit whatever your budget you have. But for now... the info in those reports will help you immediately. And if you happen to be in Nashville next week for Mikeyfest, I'll be sharing some other supply info there as well. Hope that helps, Lisa
