I have an engine in one of my trucks that is tired and old like me,lol. I want to replace it, maybe with a Jasper or one that someone recommends. Anybody have any suggestions? I've got a good guy to install it for me, he said just get an engine and he will do it. But not sure the best place to get one is. It is a 2000 1 ton Chevy, 350.

Hey Rob, I would go to the dealer and pickup a GM replacement that will fit that vehicle. They are not too expensive, but make sure you think about the transmission too. If it has not been rebuilt recently putting a fresh motor in front of it may cause you more mechanic bills very soon when it goes.

Yup, unless you have a reputable builder you trust, a GM crate motor from a dealership is a good choice. Warranty, etc.
