I am having Tre build me separate sites for all my companies. I am also using new and different names for some of my services. Unfortunately most people don't want the "average" carpet cleaner to clean their fine orientals or area rugs. So I am going to use a new name for my area rug business. Any ideas appreciated.

A company here did that Rob the name of the co. used the towns name for carpet and the rug cleaning was last name ----- rug cleaning, they did a big rug biz I used to take mine to them for cleaning at a "wholesale" price 1/2 of their regular and I would charge their normal rate to my customers.
Maybe you cuold use something like
    Prestige Rug Company
"cleaning and repair of fine rugs"

I forgot to mention your last name is a winner because it starts with an A so it will get good local listing placement.

Or you could use it as Allen's Tile & Grout Cleaning.

    Everyone Else Sucks Rug Cleaning

    :)

How about Allen's Rug Spa - specialized care for your textile treasures (if you are targeting high-end)

That's actually pretty good if I do say so myself...

Using your city and rug cleaning does help with SEO - but you probably already know that.

I truely have to disagree with you on what you "think" customers think about having an average carpet cleaner do rugs. Its all about branding your company. If you have a good brand and reputation with drynclean then stick with that. If your customers precieve you as average and not that good then maybe you should come up with another name.

There are some local companies that are well known for their rug cleaning ability and they are just an "average" carpet cleaning company.

If you want to come off as more an elite company, you should just sell yourself as such, with image and information.

I respect that Brent, but Toyota, Nissan, GM and Ford have done it for years for a reason, to attract a higher clientele. (Lexus,Infinity,Caddy and Lincolns)

And I didn't make that statement either, I have heard people say that who didn't know I was a cleaner.

I see the need for a different name for reasons explained above.

    I have a few names:

    24 K (carat) Rug Care
Touch of Love Rug Care & Cleaning
    White Glove Rug Care
    Heirloom Rug care
    For The Love of Rugs
    Imported Excellence. Professional Rug Care
    The Rug Experts
In Case You Love It Rug Care
Because You Love It Rug Care
When It Matters. Expert Rug Care
    We (Heart) Your Rug
The Way Granny Did it Rug Care
Made By Hand/Cleaned By Hand (This one has many directions you can go)

    None Of The Above.

I just checked out your company and your right, you should come up with a different name and image for cleaning highend area rugs.

Thanks Kermit. I already knew that, (reason for this post) but it must not be too shabby cause I have a strong 4 truck, 10,000 customer base company that has grossed millions. Perhaps because it's not my first rodeo. Hey when will you be able to afford a website? And funny how we both have Go Green in our names, cause we're similar in one way...:bigsmiley:

I was agreeing with you robert about the name, I saw your point. I agree 100%. I first want to afford real cleaning chemicals instead of using laundry soap before I spend money on a website. I am hoping to quite my fulltime job at the gas station and do more than 4 jobs a month.

You use go green as a tag i use it as a name.

Rob, will your company be offering repairs on orientals? Like new fringe. overcasting, patchwork, binding, etc? Alot of people tend to send rugs to companies that provide this type of service.
