About a year ago one of the apartment complexes i work for had a murder and the company they called to clean it up wanted 3 grand, they asked me what i wouls charge to cut out the carpet and i said 600 dollars they said ok.
Took me 30 minutes, the murder happened in one bedroom so that was all i had to remove. easy work!!!

Did you dispose of the carpet via Bio-Hazard standards? Wear proper PPE/Protective equipment? Disinfect the supfloor and areas around the room after? Anyone can replace a piece of carpet, Crime require Scene Cleanup requires a lot of special details a steps. There's a reason that other company was charging $3,000

Please tell me you are joking!
Please tell me you have had shots!
BTW what vaccine is there for HIV/AIDS

Could I ask you a question?
If a family member broke their leg, would you let the lowest price, untrained, guy with duct tape and a couple of yard sticks set their leg?

This must be a joke, right? Hard to believe they would wait a year then call.

Ppfffffttt! What, do you think every person that dies has HIV and HEP C? And this isn't a broke leg, it's carpet.

I do agree that there is a time and place for these xtreme services, probably most of the time, especially where there is human "parts" and junk, but some blood and just general crap is what we clean all the time anyways...

If I were offered this I would have put on some protective clothes, good gloves, respirator. And triple bag the trash with heavy duty bags. Big deal.

    Scary..

Nope, but there's enough that I'm not risking it. 1 in 4 Americans will get or have an STD at some point in their life. 25% chance...
Whats the difference between "parts" and blood. Just so you know, the arm doesn't hold the STD, the blood does.

And in doing the job you open your business up to a whole world of liability. Not worth the risk.
