Anyone use Masterblends Soap Free? I tried a sample and was quite impressed, however I'm concerned that it may be hard on my truckmount?

I tried alot of "detergent free" cleaners and seem to go back to either Interlink's Prolon or Chemspec's DFC105. Then again I use "Pure water".
In doing so I can truthfully see the benefits and drawbacks to each cleaner. I can't say for sure about it being "Hard" on your TM or not, as I run only R/O water thru mine. I use these "green cleaners" as prespray's only.

No SoapFree is not hard on truckmounts. I use all the time. It is non-toxic, hypo-allergenic and detergent free. You can also use it as a spotter. Ready to use at 9.9 PH. It is free rinsing. You can not go wrong and you will love it.

Watch out for the soap free or detergent free products that do not contain corrosion inhibitors. They can be fine cleaners and safe for people and still damage your truckmount's metal fittings, especially brass and aluminum. This happens gradually over a period of time.

Prolon does contain the corrosion inhibitors.

So does the Materblend Soap Free contain these rust inhibitors?

After the introduction of the product by MasterBlend, my very first question to Aaron Groseclose was; "does it contain a corrosion inhibitor?". Aaron assured me that it contains a very good corrosion inhibitor. Since then, I have had little reservation in promoting the product for customers to try. So far the feedback is mostly good. We have not observed any corrosion related damage to equipment.

Go to Masterbleand.net, download their MSDS sheet, there you should have a list of ingredients, if you do not know what is what, ask them to show you which are corrosion inhibitors.

MB Soap Free has become my favorite prespray - especially on lighter carpets.

IMO It far and above cleans better than TrafficSlam, Steamway Maxpak, Procyon (extreme and regular "soap free") and a bunch of other cocktail mixes that have been recommended. (Citrisolve, Boost all additives etc)

I don't think it's as "great" on heavy grease but really don't have a lot of feedback on that yet.

My only complaint is the powder takes for-ever to dissolve in the sprayer and I end up clogging the jet several times until it does.

For powders that are slow to dissolve, try fitting an 08 Tee jet into a quick connect and plug this into your solution hose. A high pressure blast of hot water soon gets it dissolved!

Bringing this thread back from the dead!

Anyone using this and having good luck? I found 2 small pails of this stuff in my garage. If so, are you using it as a prespray or running it as a rinse/detergent? Thanks

Depends who does the classifying. There are many shades of green. Phosphate builders are a key part of the Soap Free products and simlar products. Phosphates are safe for people and the technician - if fact our competing product Prolon - use all food grade ingredinets, everything is safe to use as food or food additives. Being a fertilizer, it is good for plants. However, if phosphates get into streams, lakes, rivers, etc. they can cause algae and water plants to grow. This removes some of the oxygen that would otherwise be available to fish. The reulst could be a fish kill.

This process is called eutraphication. For this reason most groups would not cal anything with phosphate a green product.

Now that we've dusted off this thread, how are most of you guys mixing it? I use Soap free once and a while, but the mixing is a pain. Any tips on getting stubborn powders to dissolve quicker?

Three years later how's it doing for you guys? Any fitting corrosion issues? Are you using as rinse? This is a great time period for a review!

I am not super impressed with the performance of it compared to
    Masterclean, my usual rinse.
It is adequate as long as I use the RX20, not the wand.
It just does'nt have the punch I need to clean.
