Lost my General pump yesterday with only 147 hours?

    Maintained at break in period 50 hours froze up and I'm DOA for a few days ugh! Any secrets regarding pump life?

    I lost 1 within a couple hundred hours.
    Was covered under warranty though. It broke a connecting rod.
    Things happen. Once in awhile you get a lemon with everything.
    Not much you can do with a pump besides oil changes and maintaining the oil level
    along with never running it out of water and keeping the loop water under the temperature
    limitation depending what kind of system you have it on.

    Kevin is right on, it should be covered under warranty. In addition to what Kevin listed make sure the pulley gear ratios are right so that the pump is not running too fast.
