Interlink sells "white lightning" carpet prespray powder, but only in 40lb tubs (or bigger) from what I can see. Anyone who has tried, or is using White Lightning prespray powder, can you give me your opinion on its performance, odor etc. PH is 10.5-11 so its pushing it for delicate carpets, but maybe still ok for heavy soil.
I have used white lightning It works good on dirty greasy carpets for commercial use, but I never tried it on residential the ph is a little high for me to use on residential, when I used it I always ran a rinse agent for extraction. I know they sell it in either 2.5 or 5lbs. small bucket. as far as the odor I believe it had an ammonia smell to it, I didn't like the smell so I switched to pros choice extreme clean and boost it with energy for the greasy restaurants, energy has a wicked smell to it too like a chemical so I may try some others as well in the future.
White Lightning is available in a 7 pound container (about the volume of 1 gallon liquid). Part # is CC09A. It is non-ionic and has a high cloud point. That means it work very well with units (mostly truckmounts that have high heat. However, White Lightning is not usually used as a prespray but as an emulsifier. Add a few cups to your 5 gallon stock solution tank in the truckmount for use through the solution line. Really boosts the cleaning power of your prespray on commercial carpets.
