my 1998 grand voy is making a knocking sound.
the sound appears to be coming from where you
pour in the oil, it sorta looks like there is some
metal just inside the oil cap where metal is being
knocked around causing a knocking sound...

any clue what is going on with this?

The higher in the engine it is the more likely its *less expensive* ... lower more expensive.

If you take a wooden (dowel?? long piece of wood with a small hole running lengthwise through the middle) put it on the tip of your ear canal and place the other end on the motor (move it around trying different places) it will give you a really good idea exactly where the sounds coming from.

    Good luck.
