I know most knock off wands can be garbage and you can really tell the difference..like the AW29. you can tell when you have a real AW29 and a POS AW29...but this is directed at the Prochem quad jet knock off that Interlink sells. they sell both (Prochem $699-KO $$350). now ive used both, and i cant tell one bit of difference between the two. they seem to have the same cast head, same tube, same valve, trigger, same everything. so can someone tell me why i should spend an additional $350 for a Prochem sticker?? am i missing something?

Nick, I think I speak on behalf of A LOT of people when I say this - GET OVER IT. Someone has come to the board here to ask about an AW29 and Quad Jet Genuine and imitation versions. Nothing more, nothing less. Rob has offered private help to this poster, and you have jumped on board - yet again - with useless info.

Where did anyone say Greenhorn? (apart from you bringing it up once again......)

If we had the knock off versions here in Australia, I would gladly throw my comments in, in a constructive way. We only have the originals over here sorry Jim.

Jim , how is stu barnes. Number 2 the guy was asking about knock off wands , is not the greenhorn a knock off or a direct rip off? Nothing to get over just pointing out the facts . have a good day mate.

Jim , I get what Nick was saying as you certainly do . He was stating that the Greenhorn is a cmp wand that more than doubles the price with the addition of a glide , an unnecessary manifold change ( with jet extenders and larger jets ) , a westpak valve renamed " feathertouch " , and a solution hose replacement . Maybe they should just call it the greenhorn package for the CMP wand .

BTW Jim , I think Nick has been very helpful here as his board thanks here has tesified - See the little medal by his name - it comes from folks thanking him and appreciating his advice , not his sellsmanship .

    Nick, I won't even mention the Greenhorn but come on, you can't even compare a 12" AW29 2 jet 1 1/2" wand to a 14" CMP 5 jet 2" wand.

I agree that Nick has been helpful and shares alot of knowledge, but him bashing the greenhorn every single chance he gets is getting kind of old, don't you think? What really matters is that the people who own the wand like it and it works for them. Sometimes beating a dead horse is not such a good thing to do. You can start to lose a little of your credibility after a while. That's just my opinion, though. Put it to bed, let it rest, GET OVER IT, enough DRAMA already. This forum has a great reputation for being a FRIENDLY, helpfull place. We should ALL do our part to keep it that way.

Arron, I agree and am very helpful. However the gentleman was aking about knockoffs. It was a honest reply and a true reply. not beating a dead horse.

Aronn, how do you think the dow falling to 8550 will effect the econmy, and peoples purchasing habbits?

Aaron , I didnt get the bashing part , but hey , I'm a buddy of Nicks so go figure. I am however an owner of the Greenhorn , so I guess that does kinda give me a valid opinion on the matter doesnt it ??

I actually own 2 cmp wands ( one of which has the greenhorn package ) , and I while I cant find any fault with the wand whatsover concerning performance , I cant say that it is any better than the one I am currently useing - which is a cmp with jet extenders , glide , checkvalves , and westpak valve . Wanna know how much I have invested ?? Lets put it this way , a WHOLE LOT LESS .

I'll answer it for you. Yes there is a BIG difference between the two. First I am a distributor and I sell both wands (I don't sell the knock off for $350 though only $249 and the Prochem for $607)

The Knock off is made in Vietnam and is not of the same craftsmanship as the Prochem (made in the USA by PMF). The Jet Spacing and Manifolds are different as is the SS Tubing. The Angle of the wand where you hold it is also very different.

I would suggest going into your local distributor and asking if you could demo each of them. Unless Money is the major decision factor you will most likely go with the prochem. Feel free to call me and I will be more then happy to talk with you.

Just stay away from the ones maid in Asia Welds break and the stainless Rust. Im a big beliver If your money is being made with a tool buy the best tool that fits you and your needs. If you go cheap you may spend more in the long run buy replacing it as well as parts. I only carry one wand most of the time. If mine breaks I out of luck and have to come back and loose money. I dont want to do that

I sell the knock off quite often but I have had a couple returned by Prochem Guys that said while they worked OK they weren't Prochems.

As I said I sell them both I make the same profit margin on each of them so it doesn't really matter to me (money wise) which one someone purchases but it does matter that people leave knowing I told them ALL the pro's and con's and I didn't influeance their decison because of $$$$

When I first bought my prochem quad jet wand it was selling for over $1200. I still use it every day and have never replaced a single thing on it other than a male quick connect from brass to stainless. That should give you a good idea how long I've had it since they sell for a little over $600 today. You cant beat high quality tools, in any trade, yes they cost more, for a reason.
