Benefect is botanical EPA registered I don't know if that qualifies as organic, if it's plant based thats from the soil is that organic? Bobby Hales
Benefect is the only organic / plant based EPA registered disinfectant. Does being plant based make it "green?" That would depend on how you define "green." There are only a few disinfectants that carry the lowest level of warning and precautions mandated by the EPA. Benefect is one of them. So EPA considers it safer for the technician using it. Although I know people at Benefect would disagree with me, I have always beleieved in the maxim "The poison is in the dose." Something that is OK in small amounts may be harmful in large amounts. Don't allow thinking that any product calling itself "green" or "safe" is allows you to forget the need for caution. Scott Warrington
There are many 'natural' disinfectants, including acetic acid and Tea Tree Oil. There are also plant-based cleaning agents known as active colloids* that treat bacteria as soil and break them apart. The same type of products are also marketed for the eradication of head lice! * Tre will have read about M-Power!
