So I was rear ended this week in the carpet cleaning van. No one hurt and only looks to be 1 rear door and bumper. I wanted to know if there insurance company will pay for time lost at work while the van is in the shop being repaired.

Talk to YOUR agent for that advice, you pay him to be of service. Kinda like a retainer...

If the person who rear-ended you is at fault, I would have your Ins.Co. go after their ins.co.to cover your lost wages. Very interesting post, something I really haven't thought about but am now curious. Your van is your lively hood and you cant work because its damaged. (hummmm)Would like to hear from what others think. spotman

well in the mean time its time to pack a porty in the minivan. lol that so sucks.. I worry about that alot. morons here get so close to the rear the camera is looking over their head light. meaning their within a foot of the bumper. texting someone.

good avoidance technique I use is stop slowly and leave lotsa room in front and the sidesof the van so the dope will pass u up. I had some twit actually touch my bumper. no damage but. could have been worse!

I would think if you could prove the loss in your business as your truck is down his insurance company would pay you... Its not your fault and he rear ended you... I would call his insurance company and speak to a lawyer for advise.. The good thing is your ok and no one was hurt.. Hope your van is not out of service too long and everything works out for you...
