    Rob:

Why not buy new ones...? Or do you like to tinker, etc?

There's a guy here in Atlanta who has several used systems in various conditions of dis- repair, that I have an arrangement with. We've agreed that I'll take his components and build him something "new" from them, in exchange for some of his "stuff".

So, if you have a lot of "stuff" and would be interested, depending upon how busy we are at the time, I'd be open to another similar arrangement....

Keith i own one of Duanes units.

    it's a Predator Unleashed 20hp 36 blower APO and 220k heat.

i have been well pleased with it for the work i do. i have had a few bugs to work out but i'd say that DO builds a good machine.

Duane seems to be a sharp straight shooter! We know problems will arise but how they are handled is what makes the difference!

    Hey, Keith...

I just saw this. It's in a thread that I haven't looked into for quite some time, since the topic is about Rob's offer to buy used systems.

    Here's your answer:

I make a variety of systems. I started with propane- heated systems and built them exclusively from 1996 until now, basically. So that's the main focus, but it's one that's changing.

I designed a HX system that's currently being brought to life and has two versions... one less expensive than the other.

I also do oil- fired systems. I stayed away from them for years, but a customer recently contracted me to design one for his company, with an eye towards buying several, once the first one is evaluated. It's taking a bit longer, because this particular customer wants it to be belt- driven, which means a re-design of the system to a large degree. In a direct- coupled version, I can build one to order quickly. (I prefer DC because it's simpler. I see no performance advantage over belt- driven, though in a belt- driven system, I can change the pulley ratio to accomplish some things with vacuum that can't be done with a 1 to 1 ratio.)

So, I do all three heating systems now.

    Starting from the "bottom":

    FloodMaster
20 Kohler / 3006 Tuthill Continuous pump- out: no traditional recovery tank
Extra- quiet silencing system for night- time flood work without upsetting sleeping neighbors nearby. Over-sized coupling system for added longevity due to increased stress of continuous flood extraction. Enhanced pump-out capability: Over 100 GPM @ 50 feet from the truck.
Footprint: 20 inches wide x 43 inches long, including the tank, which is mounted on the system frame.
    $5,995

    FloodMaster Max!
25 Kohler / 4005 Tuthill Continuous pump- out: no traditional recovery tank
Extra- quiet silencing system for night- time flood work without upsetting sleeping neighbors nearby. Over-sized coupling system for added longevity due to increased stress of continuous flood extraction. Enhanced pump-out capability: Over 100 GPM @ 50 feet from the truck.
Footprint: 20 inches wide x 43 inches long, including the tank, which is mounted on the system frame.
    $6,995

    Predator 36
18 Kohler / 3006 Tuthill / Cat 290 with clutch / Little Giant #3 heater. 56 gal. actual capacity recovery tank
