I need to locate an upholstery wand that is low price and won't fall apart. I would want a brass valve.

I will not be using this wand much because my market sucks, although I would not want to miss out on any money when the phone does start ringing.

I have an upholstery job lined up later this spring when it dries up a little. :D

    The poor man buys twice......

Buy a decent one to start with so you don't have to buy two

And also buy one with a internal jet, less mess

Some upholstery will truly require one of the tools that cleans well without leaving the fabric wet. A tool like the Hydrokinetic, Sapphire Scientific and so forth.

A low priced tool can have burrs or rough edges that damage a fabric. Mid-priced tool can do a great job on synthetic upholstery fabric, but be careful what jobs you take on. The specialty fabrics still need the better, dry tools. Here is an example of a nice mid-priced tool. It will work fine on all synthetics and many naturals including cotton.Hy Dry Upholstery tool

I have the standard westpak hand tool and it really soaks the fabric, have to do lots of dry passes and grabs the fabric a lot. Looking to get the sapphire scientific tool, had a go with it and much nicer to use.

Step up, and buy a good upholstery tool.

It is not worth the damage caused by poor tools.

I like the Sapphire Uph. Tool.

The PMF internal jet is OK.

Like all the pros say here, if you are going to clean upholstery professionally, then you need a professional tool. Not cheap junk that will fall apart on your third job. I suggest one of the following:

    Prochem Uph tool
    Hydroforce Hydrokinetic
    Sapphire Scientific Uph tool

Great advice right here. I bought one of the more basic hand tools and I hate it. Internal jet is the way to go. You'll be glad you did.

Just bought a Hydrokinetic . Seems alittle heavy and not real happy with the trigger. But does a great job.

Step up and buy a good tool, it's what you make your living with.
We have a Prochem which is a good tool.
We are also buying the new Sapphire tool for the more delicate fabrics.
From what I've heard on the forum, Sapphire tool is great all around, low wetting tool.
My money would be on that one.
