Hi Carlo, Welcome to our Forum! It looks to me like you have a high powered cleaning unit. 48 hp, 4.7 blower, 2500 psi is comparable to what alot of big boys run. Before I can help you I need to know exactly what kind of heat exchangers you have now? Does it have a thermostat? Does it have a bypass solenoid? What type of machine is it? Maybe take some pictures so I can see what I am dealing with.
Welcome Carlos. You got some bad advice from your Interlink Dist.! As Ara said, your TM is pretty **** big! Sounds like they are trying to take advantage of you.
i have a nissan powered machine. From the factory it had a heat exchanger from the exauste and a heat exchanger from the engine coolant and have since bypassed the coolant exchanger, just from the exauste i run about 220-240 + under constant use. my machine has a thermastat that has gone bad and a new one that was calibrated wrong so that could be your proublem. There are also some tricks on making more heat out of the machine. If i need alot of heat where i am running 2 wands for very long lengths 700-800 ft each i have ran the machine rich (fuel a/f) where it makes exauste temp very hot. I know this is not good and dont recomend it because you can destroy your heat exchanger. but it works very well and i have had good luck with it.
Interlink and jon don are notroius for stuff like that. so is Bridgpoint southwest. stick with your machine. dont let some lawnmower mechanc and a salesman screw you. Chis sheldon can help as could myself or paul brown. The fox is a very good machine better than some of the big guys. Wich iterlink distributor so I can put him on a list of dishonest companies to do biz with.
I would look at the exhaust heat exchangers and clean out the coils... On a fuel injected motor there really shouldn't be a build up but thats where I would start. The only way I could see having a build up on the coils with that amount of hours is if the waste tank shut off isn't working properly. How is the heat controlled in you unit? Maybe your bypass valve needs to be replaced.:AddEmoticons04259: Where do you read the 180 degree temp.? Is it at the wand?
The Nissan has an air pump that aids in blowing the exhaust across the catalytic converter. Its very important that the air pump is working properly. I think the spec is 15 hg but I have to look in my notes. I wonder which two heat exchangers he has on the machine? Russell, running too rich results in wall wash and carbon and will prematurely damage your engine or the life of it. You might want to check your air pump also if your exhaust isnt getting hot.
