I love Virginia Beach :) Well let's see where to start...

26 Years old, married to a beautiful wife from Nicaragua (23 years old) and our child Micah who is now 5 years old!

I have been around carpet cleaning since I was 3 years old, my father ran a company called Dyna Clean for many years using a Vonschrader machine. He also owned a couple of Vacuum Cleaner stores called Vacuum Express here in VA Beach. I have worked with him every since i was 10 years old, in the shop learning how to repair vacuums, parts on machines, about chemicals and etc. My mother taught me the ways of how to treat customers in person and on the phone, quickbooks, window programs and much more...So i really got a taste of both sides on how to run a company. As time went by I graduated high school, took a few computer courses and got certified in Network+ / A+ and aside from that also a Pharmacy Tech License. I was pushing strong to become a Pharmacist but the more deeper I got involved in knowing more about the drugs these days and how much time it can take from your life, I chose not to push any further - because the drugs do more harm than good.

By the time I was 21 I have ended up being married, owning a nice home here by the beach, I work full time 60+ hours a week with carpet cleaning/water damage and also with a few websites. So far I personally own and run close to 10 websites, with topics of carpet cleaning, sports, gaming and family life ( www.thesteplife.com is one site you can check out)

My hobbies I enjoy are spending time with my family, field service, surfing, skateboarding, building/updating websites, helping people, reading more about Natural Cures, watching movies, teaching our child new things, vacations, carpet cleaning - yes carpet cleaning, I do enjoy making people happy!

My goal for Truck Mount Forums:

As time goes by, I will strive to improve TMF over any other carpet cleaning board. I have noticed a lot of drama, scamming people, to many arguements, and complete nonsense at other boards. We are taking a different approach with the carpet cleaning industry - To provide those working in the field of cleaning with relevant practice information emerging from our teaching, research and service activities. Our goal and our "style" is to be helpful and understanding whatever the problems and situation that require professional attention. Hopefully we can help you succeed, and that means providing the right services for everyone! Please pass along the word.

Thank you again, and If anyone would like more information about me or my company - feel free to private msg me or talk to me in our FlashChat (chatroom) . As TMF grows, I will require such ones to provide certain information about them, so everyone will know whom they are talking to (and this goes for users who have already registered as well). Soon I will be looking for members to become Moderators on our board, and also help with sending out News Letters for TMF. Thank you again for supporting us!

President (and my Son Micah Robert L. Allen IV will be running for President next haha)

    Hey, Tre...

I've been to Va. Beach several times. (I got sun poisoning there in 1977.) It's one of my favorite beaches... THE favorite of all I've been to on the Atlantic coast.

Pretty cool to hear "more" about you...:)

    Thanks.

    Hello Tre,
My name is Dennis Williams. I just registered and am trying to introduce myself, but the red introduce yourself line will not engage with my happy hand so I can do it. Maybe you can
help me with what I'm doing wrong.

    Tre,
Thanks for sharing a little about yourself. You are very mature for your age. I have just joined the site and look forward to learning from it. I have been in and out of this business three times for various reasons. I always seem to get drawn back in. I remember the last time, as does my wife, and she thinks I am crazy to try again. So I pose a question, what do you feel is the best form of promotion for a new carpet cleaning business? You see, advertising expenses killed our business last time. We were in two yellow page directories and did advo direct mail.

It is good to hear the "real" story.

    Thanks, Woody

Nick, for a second there, I thought, "Well, finally! That explains a lot.", then I saw that it was only last year when it happened. :D

But seriously... It's a condition that you can get if you get sun burned over a wide enough area of your body. It makes you swell up noticeably.

It was agonizing, to put it mildly. My girlfriend (who became my first wife) kept putting Noxema on me to ease the pain. And I hurt so much that I couldn't even take a shower, much less wear anything that fit even semi- tight. All that, and we were on vacation. I remember touring Williams burg and how, every single step I took was in pain.

The weird thing was that the Noxema wasn't really soaking into my skin. When I finally was able to take a shower (I finally just had to, actually, regardless of the pain), the Noxema re-hydrated and started coming off in layers. In retrospect, I think it caused more problems than the pain relief it provided.
