I am new to using a HyfroForce Revolution sprayer and diluting the chems for it.

I have Pro's Choice "Firewater" and the label reads as follows:

    DILUTION CHART
For normal light soil dilute 100 to 1.
Increase yourconcentration as needed for heaviersoil.
All Injection Sprayer dilution ratios assume sprayers are set at 8 to 1.

    RATIO QTY/GAL

    100-1 1 1/4 oz.
    75-1 1 3/4 oz.
    50-1 2 ½ oz.
    30-1 4 1/4 oz.
    20-1 6 ½ oz.
    10-1 12 3/4 oz.

Is this saying that in the hydroforce I will mix 1 1/4 oz to a gallon of water for a 100-1 dilution, then set the meter for an 8 to 1 spray ratio?

Sorry for the rookie question, but new equipment requires new learning.

According to the Hydroforce manual the 8:1 sprayer produces about 11.25 gallons from the 5 qt. container. The closest I can come to figuring out your dilutions is to take the dilution amount and multiply by 11.25. For example the 100:1 ratio = 1.25 oz. per gallon so I would multiply by 11.25. So to find out how much I would need in the Hydroforce I would multiply 1.15 X 11.25 = about 14 oz. to fill the Hydroforce. For a 10:1 it would be 12.75 oz. X 11.15 gal. = 143 oz. to fill.

Personally I don't like having 6 different dilution ratios for the same product and I seriously doubt it will work well at the lower dilutions except maybe on very lightly soiled carpets that barely even need prespraying. You will probably have to find the dilutions that work best for light, medium, or heavy soil. If I were using the super concentrated dilutions of 20:1 or 10:1 I would use either an electric or pump sprayer and reserve those concentrations for the worst cases. Use some different dilutions and try to find a sweet spot.

Actually, I'm beginning to get the idea that if you were to use it straight and set the dial for 100:1, the Revolution will automatically dilute to that amount. However, the user instructions indicate that the solution should be the consistency of water. So If I mix 1 quart Firewater (which is very thick) to 4 quarts water, then I put that into the chemical jug and set the valve to 25:1, I'm essentially accompishing the same thing except it becomes more useable to the Revolution.

    What are your experiences?

You can't put really thick presprays in any Hydroforce and get the proper dilution. You will have to dilute it down some like you said and then set the meter accordingly. You can put presprays that are already about the consistency of water and meter them, but the thicker they are the harder it is for the prespay to get pulled out of the container. I think mixing it at 1 qt. in the spayer sounds like that should be diluted enough. You might want to contact CTI on this one. They are very helpful with their products and should be able to best suggest how to use this particular product. http://www.proschoice.com/html/contact_us.html
