My waste tank is corroding and has actually corroded through (small hole) where the pvc attaches to the drain hole. Is this common? I've patched it with Hippo Patch and it is somewhat working. How should I repair? Should I take the tank out and sandblast the inside and have it welded in spots to "reinforce". Is there a coating I can spray in the inside to prevent this from happening again in the future?

Not sure about the coating but, you can always get a newer (bigger) tank. I can't see it being that much to have you're tank gone through either. My waste tank on my Spitfire is ready to go too, so be sure to let us know what you do!

I would soda blast it because it does remove any metal. then JB WELD the holes tight. then have it rhinolined or something simular. as for the drain?? not sure about that one. another thing U need to look into is a chassis mounted tank.. custome made 40 gallon is half of what interlink wants for one or jon don. and it makes alot more room in the van.
I used a marin grade fuel tank for mine. but... it kept imploding. So I went with aluminum, had it lined like a fuel cell is and works great. I have a ford E350 super duty 1 ton and an E250 wuss and the cost to convert them both over was under 1000 bucks

Welding it is a no brainer Travis. As for using a liner I wouldnt waste my money. My tank was powder coated inside and it comes off in chunks. I think its pointless. Something like rhino liner is better than powder coat but you need to ask yourself if its really worth your time and money. Honestly, How often do holes appear? I never had a hole corrode my tanks. Maybe because I rinse it at least once a month. Sometimes twice.
