Was the HydraMaster Descaler always a non-acid Formula? I noticed my jug says non-acid. Also, why is it so difficult to find now? Why doesn't Interlink or JonDon sell HydraMaster products that much anymore? The only product I use from HydraMaster is the descaler and I cant get it anymore.
You might want to contact Hydramaster directly if Jon Don or Interlink won't get this for you. Hydramaster's number is 800-426-1301. They can probably put you in contact with a distributor who carries the product. I don't know if you can order it directly from them, but I'm pretty sure you can't do that. I would think that Jon Don or Interlink could order it for you, but it would likely be a special order item. Jon Don currently only offers the Matrix and Prochem descalers that are only enough for one descaling which I don't like either. http://www.hydramaster.com/inside/contact.asp also, http://www.hydramaster.com/owners/locate/index.asp
Hydramaster's Descaler has been non-acid for many years, as long as I have been using it. Interlink does still carry HydraMaster Safe Clean Descaler. The product number is CR89GL. List price is $22.22 per gallon. You can get it by phoning in your order to 800 794-7425 or online at www.InterlinkSupply.com Some distributors may choose not to stock this item, but it is still popular in the Interlink network. Each store is an independent distributor and they can carry the itmes they choose to. Not every store has every product available, but you can get it sent to you by UPS if you phone in the order or place it online.
Thanks guys! Scott Your right it has been non-acid for awhile now that I think about it. But this is the thing. Why do I remember practically burning myself one time because I didn't wash my hands after? Does the non-acid still burn skin?
The MSDS shows the pH to be between 7 and 8, so near neutral. However, it does recommend wearing rubber gloves since the product can irritate (doesn't say burn) skin. Wash and flush with water after skin contact.
