Hey folks, I'm attempting to rebuild my Hydra-cell. I started to notice a small leak between the inlet and outlet fittings (the small Allen Screw) it had a slow leak. It looked similar to coffee with a lot of creamer. I called Warner and the tech said it was probably a bad diaphram and I order the kit to repair the Fluid end and not the hydraulic end. I removed the pump and I'm reading the instructions. Has anyone rebuilt one of these, if so is there anything I should be prepared for? I watched a video on youtube and it looks pretty simple. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.:AddEmoticons0423: Ranier
Update on the rebuild of my Hydra-Cell.... Everything was going smoothly until..... The specs call for 45lbs of torque on the bolts that hold the plates together and those went fine, the center bolt called for 45lbs of torque and then $hizzle... stripped!! Doahhhhh!! aRRRgh! so I took it to the machine shop to have it tapped and reinserted with a sleeve and then he said that he might have to dismantle the hydraulic end so that no shaving do get into the hydraulic end and then said that it might cost quite a bit. Well waiting on the phone call to see how much this is gonna cost me. Ranier
Thanks Kevin. Update... I rebuilt the pump and reinstalled it an nothing... Kapoot! no water pressure or anything. I go over everything in my head step by step, and as I ask the technician... it's probably that you didn't completely prime the diaphram and remove all the air. So I take the pump apart again and redo the entire process ensureing that I did remove the all the air. I reinstall the pump and this time I prime the entire pump and run water through the entire system and viola!! done deal, how sweet it runs... awsome pressure!!
