    Hello, everyone....
i got my NEW el diablo and i am going to put it on my 2007 Isuzu NPR box truck.
i am debating on how i should install it?! connect it to the fuel system of the truck or getting external fuel tank?!

option 1 is more complicated since couldn't find someone who can do this for me.
no one want's to take risk with that for some reason.

option 2 much easier but make me think twice since it is not going to be convenience as the first option.

any suggestion ? someone here have box truck with truck mount in it? if yes, can you share a little bit on how did you hook it up ?

if there is someone in my area who can do that it is even better. ill pay whatever it takes.
    My location is South Florida.

    Thanks for your help,
    Tal.

I just ordered a 2011 npr eco max I will be running the heater of the el d off of the trucks gas tank and I ordered an external gas tank for the engine on the tm. I will be mounting a spun aluminum tank under the box with a fuel gauge built in and may add a sending unit and gauge in the truck in the future. Is your truck gas or diesel?

Hey Trole congrads on TM. The local supply store here in lake worth can hook that fuel tap up for you. Skinners in Lake worth 561-968-7802 Everlast in Ft Lauderdale 954-957-9755. My El Diablo runs from the tap into my fuel tank which I do like alot. Fill van and no worries. The burner has the tank in van which is OK because I don't use much diesel for the burner so no need to fill so often. Save the room in van for other things and use vans gas tank.

    Hello, John.
I would love to run this machine using my fuel tank.
Everlast won't do it for me since they don't have fuel tap for this kind of truck. second, they don't want to the "risk" on doing something by themselves.

I haven't tried Skinners yet, but thanks for their number i will try them tomorrow.

    Thanks again,
    Tal.

if you go with a fuel tap make sure you get it right. if not you will get what i got.

the tap goes down the inside lengh of the tanks goose neck. that restricts the flow of gas going into the tank when you fill it. that makes the gas back up and shuts off the pump. that makes filling the tank take a long time. that leads to leaning and repositioning the gas handle so often that it cracks the lip of the goosneck. that leads to loss of fuel tank pressure seal wich leads to the idiot light on the dash. SUCKS!

old thread but my local isuzu dealer said the gas tanks have to spots already on the tank you just open them up and drop a tube in there and you are done. They are made like that for the reffer trucks to tap the fuel.

connecting it to the gas tank in the truck is really easy...just as easy in fact as putting in a boat tank..almost anyway...lol...if you need to have some directions....i would be glad to assist you with some thoughts on how you can do it yourself...ive done about 30 or so ...snd they all have worked out...you are running a gasoline engine in the truck right?
