There are a few green products that actually work better than the original non-green version. This is the result of a lot of research looking for greener products. But they are few and far between. Most folks who want green or earth friendly or consumer safe products are not the type that trash their carpet and upholstery. So, the green products give them clean carpet and so so with less chance of harming the environment or of people's health. So green products do the job they were meant for. Green products can also be good for marketing if you choose to market to the folks who want green. There are many organizations who each have their own standard or concept of what green should be. They are all very different from each other. Few organizations that certify a product as green really test much for efficacy, that is how well a product works. Often the requirement is that it must work better than tap water. So, I advise do your own testing on how well products work. Also understand that being green is so much more than what product you spray on the carpet or tile. It is a whole way of life and doing business.
