I cleaned a 9 x 12 tufted wool rug yesterday with glued on fringe! Not a single stitch to hold it in place - what are they thinking?!?

What type of adhesive would you recommend I use to reattach the fringe to the delaminating backing of this rug?

You know... if it's machine made, then I'd say just get a glue gun and do it that way. Easiest, and you can control the amount of glue.

But NEVER do this on hand made product.

Thanks for the thoughts Lisa. This thing is as far away as you can get from "hand made" or "quality". I'm sorry I didn't get any pictures. The fringe did not come off with the cleaning, it was detached when I first saw it. I don't own the problem, but I thought maybe I could offer a solution anyway - they're really great clients.
