Does anyone know how to get up Pine Sol from carpet? I have a client that used pine sol on dog stains but I couldn't get it up. The pine sol spots were orange in color almost like the pine sol dyed the carpet.
Plenty of water to flush out the Pine Sol. A Water Claw Spot Lifter would be good for this. JUst keep adding water around the outside of the stain while using the Spot Lifter to remove the water and Pine Sol. Have some defoamer available. You will need it. When you are convinced that all the Pine Sol has been removed, then use RedZone to remove any remaining color. Scott Warrington
As usual. Scott is right. This can be a toughie. Get in writing- "No guarantee on results". And tell her- this is not a recommended procedure and product. Sell her whatever you use professionally. I would add- after the first application of water, put the defoamer on the spot, rather than up the hose. The carpet is basically ruined in this area, so you won't make it worse by putting the defoamer on the carpet. This will make the carpet cationic, and when you are finished, the last thing is to bring the carpet back into the anionic state by using a standard professional cleaning product on it. If you wonder whether the carpet warantee is voided or not- her applying the Pine-sol to it, voided any warantee. Gary
I love my water claw Scott. Dont know what I'd do without it. Also, I use a garden watering can (the kind with the showerhead spout) to apply the water to the area. Get one from home depot in your co colors and decal with Co name and logo. Then customer will view as more professional, and think "this guy has done this before" rather than "I wonder if this is standard procedures?" Oh, and customers love to see the water claw in action.
