I'm replacing my 90' Chevy van with a 2005 E350 W/ a 5.4 V8. I'll install my El Diablo in the new van. My problem is, I don't want to pay a supplier over $600.00 for the fuel tap kit. Anyone know a good source for these kits that does'nt jack the price up?
I bought one from interlink for my gmc I know your looking for ford but I would think they would sell them for ford also. Mine was around $60 I think.
As I understand it there are two types of fuel kits...The cheaper kind is like a spike they shove in..the only problem with those is sometimes when the shove them in it jams your float for your fuel gauge and it gets stuck on full. Call Yohan over at J & J and he can help you find one at a good price (602) 437-5251 I had that exact van at one point...good van
I did a 2006 Ford not too long ago for a local. Got it from Larry Cobb. If memory serves me correctly about 230-240 dollars. You won't find a proper fuel tap for $60.
I'll have to check into it more. Interlink has a kit w/o fuel pump for $218.00. I can re-use the pump off my old van. I understand that the kits are model specific. I've never tapped into a fuel system before, so it's uncharted territory for me.
Go to this place. http://www.steam-brite.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=Fuel tap I just bought one last month for a 2006 chevy 3/4 ton van. It should have all the instuctions but I let my mechanic do it. He charged me about $100. Price for kit is. 263 plus shipping. Was the best i could find.
