Just wanted to know if there is anything relatively safe to use on mould when fogging that you don't have to cover yourself 100% and that is safe for the client. Most of the advice I have had is in regards to what it would do to your lungs and skin because it kills microbes.

    Any ideas:confused:

any time your dealing with an abundance of mold particles it's best to wear a mask with HEPA filter. It's also true that there are very few if any products out there that don't have some sort of agent in them that will cause problems in your system.

I think the better question is even if you were fogging water, being in a mold situation isn't your health worth the price of a respirator?

The points that XM makes are very true. I would go even further. Mold aside, inhaling a mist of water would not be good for your lungs. The smaller the droplets become, the more likely that you and anyone around is inhaling some of that mist.

Fogging has benefits for airspace and for interior of duct work. But mold is usually associated with surfaces, not air space. The value of fogging in general (except air ducts) has been questioned by many experts. There certainly are better ways to deliver a mildewcide.

Benefect has the best safety rating for all routes of entry to the body. It requires the least amount of protective equipment.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not too phased about masks and definately realise the importance. However, the last job I did I was fully kitted up full body suit, bootie style protection etc. freaked the nieghbour hood out. All the info I have been given doesn't actually tell me the dangers to skin etc or the client relating to surfaces or how long to air the house afterwards as the distributors I don't think have used it in that situation.Do i need to go to this extent and what are some products that you would recommend??
