Here we have a Flokati with urine that the customer wants us to save. I would throw it out if it were mine. Any suggestions on cleaning this before I tackle it tomorrow?

I would go with a strong acid pretreatment.

Can this rug be submersed in a rug bath?

I would think so, but don't do it on my authority, I have much to learn yet, I would try it if I knew they aren't sentimentally attached.
That fact seems to make me afraid to clean certain rugs certain ways, but I've never yet seen a rug go bad. I think they're more resilient than most give credit to.

Yes, you can soak it in a trash can full of acid. The only problem will be if those areas have been so contaminated that they are rotten and crack. Otherwise, there is NO dye here to bleed, and it is not a hide sheepskin, so soaking will not dry it out and make it crack. It's a simple wool weave. But your likelihood of getting those stains out are not high. This wool is bleached out white, and cannot take much more bleaching without getting weaker - and these pieces will turn more yellow over time because of that prior heavy processing.

If you have a big enough washing machine, you can presoak in Bridgepoint's Wool Medic and then wash in the washing machine.

I think you should soak that in tub for 2-3 hours and then gently clean it with cleanser.

The Flokati has no odor now but two slight yellow urine discolored stains. Other than that it looks great. ChemMax chems rock!
