I'm a little confused on the dilution rate for Flex. In a couple of places it says to add it directly without water to the hydroforce but I've also read it has a dilution rate of 32 to 1. If I want 32 to 1, shouldn't I be adding 1 part flex to 3 parts water to a standard HF?

The first time I used flex was on nasty berber and I did the straight with hydoforce deal, bad idea. I had to go back and rerinse the carpet, it was all chalky and white powder. Now I do about 1/2- 1/3 and works better.

The standard dilution rate for Flex is 8:1. That means put it straight into the regular Hydroforce sprayer with the yellow tip. You get 8:1.

That dilution rate is based on having heavily soiled carpet and average water. If the carpet is not hevily soiled, you can dilute it farther. If you are using softer than "national average" water, you could lso dilute it with more water.

32:1 would be too diluted in my opinion. I am not sure you may have said that, but I don't think it was from anyone at Bridgepoint.

I rarely ever exceed 32 ounces of any preconditioner in a 5 quart hydroforce container topped off with water using a yellow tip.
Might go to 48 for a trashed rental, commercial or restaurant.
