    What is your favorite type of PD blower? Sutorbilt, Roots, Tuthill etc...
    And does blower type influence your buying decision?

    I have only ever used Roots. I do not like greasing blowers so I prefer self lubing (spash) regardless of brand.

    I prefer Sutorbilt but have used all the others. There is no differnce in performance. What I like about sutorbilt is it's easier to change the Bearing on sutorbilt than the roots or tuthill. Also Sutorbilt seams a little quiter in the sound pitch.

    Tuthill's "Competitor" series was designed to compete with Roots and Sutorbilt. In my testing, they really do have a bit more airflow (about 10%) and they are direct bolt- in replacements for Roots.

    Nobody makes a "bad" blower. They're all good.

    Have to agree with you on that one Nick. Changing the bearings on a Roots is a major pain.

    Ara;

    We really like the NEW Sutorbilt "MR" series blowers.

    More LIFT capability.

    They have separated the gearbox from the blower lobe area.

    That gives you two advantages:

    1. Over 15° temp reduction in gearcase

    2. Slightly more heat for the HX.

    Win-Win advantage.

    Wow Larry, it looks sharp. And 950 CFM is pretty cool in my book. Gardner Denver makes quality stuff. This is one blower I want to hear feedback on from users and techs.
