To encap after HWE (immediately after) should anything be done before you encap? For example does the pH left after the HWE need to be corrected or balanced before the encap is applied? At what pH is encap best applied, and if we are to encap after HWE are there any other things we need to do in order to maximise the effectiveness of the encap process?

The answer may vary with the particular product you are using, but in general I don't think the pH after HWE would effect the application of an encap product.

If you wanted the benfit of both processes, it would be simple to HWE and then spray on an encap product meant to be applied after HWE, Encapuguard for example. Easier than faster than a complete encap cleaning process.
