Have any of you guys contacted your customers after you have sold and sprayed Scotchgard or Teflon, to see how long the carpets took to dry?

Solvent drys quick. Water based adds to original dry time imo.

Agreed. I just try to be up front with my customers about this. It's an explanation before, but an excuse after!

And following IICRC standards, I will finish one room, leave a carpet dryer, and move on to the next--especially if I suspect there could be an issue with dry time (natural fibers, a rainy or humid day, a structure with poor ventilation, basements, etc.)

I use Powrflite whole room dyers when drying conditions are poor. Found to be an excellent investment for covering larger areas

Air movers/room dryers/blowers, whatever we call them make all the difference for sure!

For you new guys, don't use the term "fans". Anyone can buy a fan at Wal-Mart for $15. If the customer thinks you are over charging them for something they could have done on their own they will never call you back.
