I'm looking to get an opinion on this system from someone who has actually used it. I'm expanding my services and want to add duct cleaning without going broke buying equipment.

Hi Kevin: I have used the Hypervac 220 volt model for a couple of years now. Good Unit. Adequate vacuum for residential. Have also done some commercial by zoning and doing a section at a time. Previously used a Harold's Power Vac 25hp gas powered unit, but decided to go with the lighter weight Hypervac. It's nice to be able to roll it in close to the furnace. I use it in conjunction with a 24CFM truck mounted compressor with air whips/nozzles and Brush Master from Air Care.

The reason I may go with it is that I don't have to be tarping up the floors, dragging in lengths of hose and having the door of the house open letting the air out. Plus its not wasting a ton of gas and costs less to maintain while still doing a good job. Unfortunately you can never get a straight answer from these distributors. They are always trying to sell you more than you need. Do you get good results when doing bigger homes?

I live in a small town, but there are some larger homes. No problem with the Hypervac. Very good vacuum (cfm) with the 220 volt model. Of course I isolate the supply and return air sides and do them separately, and plug all the registers except the one I'm working on. I enjoy as you mentioned, not having to have long lengths of vacuum hose, generally use a 5or 6 foot section only. Have no regrets having switched over to electric.

way too many people in the duct cleaning field underestimate, or knock the use of electric power vacs in place of the gas ones.
running 3 to 6 ft of 10" or 12" hose to the mains, using 3000 to 4000 cfm's, or up to 5000 like the 360 220volt does, is equal to and sometimes more then running 75' to 125' of 8" hose from the gas powered vacs.
plus it is a huge time saver on the set-up.
