I know the payload is higher on the 3500 as is the curb weight.. So I'm wondering why would you guys choose a 2500 or a 3500 series??

How much gas mileage am I losing by going with the 3500? (A weight difference of 124 lbs vs the 2500).

By the way, I'm thinking of getting the V8 4.8L engine also.

3500 has larger suspension and hydraboosted brakes. You can drop that 405 in the backdoor of the 3500 and the springs will barely budge. Also your insurance will be higher on the 1 ton van.
