not sure about grand slam, i use bridgepoint traffic slam (prespray for olefin & commercial carpets) and rinse with End Zone. it's always worked good for me.

Grand Slam can clean Olefin but you have to let it dwell for about 10-15 minutes. Scrubbing it into the fibers will help too. Also, with any Olefin carpet, the key is to get it as dry as possible to prevent wick back so flush good and use extra drying passes.

I have used my RotoVac power wand on Olefin and it amazes me with how well it cleans and keeps from vibrating. On short pile Olefin it will lift the matted fibers up.

Jon Don's Grand Slam is very close to Prochem Ultrapac trafficlean. It has
some butyl in it and yes it will clean Olefin. Dwell time is important as has
already been stated. Olefin of course is an oil loving fiber so it take something
with either a high ph or with a lot of solvents in its formulation. Grand Slam
works well. I would add some Citrus Solve to boost it.

We use Grand Slam for our carpet cleaning jobs and like it very well. Dwell time is key as with any other traffic lane cleaner. I agree, would boost with an oxidizer or water miscible solvent such as citrusolve to help break the strong bond olefin has with oil based particles.

What about Grand slam SC fragrance free TLC? anybody ever give that one a try? I bought some and it will be here next week, I have been trying different chemicals trying to find one that I really like, no for apartments I will continue to use Pros Choice Extreme with Energy as a boost, I tried Matrix Finish first and was amazed how affective it was, got a few more to check out but wanted some input on the fragrance free grand slam.

Olefin should not be aggressively agitated! RX-20 and Rotovacs need extreme caution exercised when on Olefin. Scratch the fibers and you're looking at ugly caused by you...

Apartment grade carpet not crush resistant I dont think using a rotary machine for pile lifting is the problem with crap carpet in the first place! Any carpet with permanent traffic area's after 6 months is garbage, You cant hurt it!

ps Citrus cleaners work best on olefin.
