I find exploding truckmounts interesting... Are you saying it will cause the machine to explode? Cool.

ive made a lot of money curing the cooling system problem that exists in most of their machines...the most recent disaster is the 427....
it is common in any of the water cooled machines...including the cds models. so...scince the cat is actually out of the bag...im letting you know that if you have a machine that is one of theirs...and is water cooled...remove the lower thermostat...and see what happens...i am sure you will be pleasantly surprised...and if you have a 427 with out a blown set of gaskts at the head...do it now...it brings the machine to life...and it fixes the problem.

since their heat controls are no where the same between the cds and boxxers, I assume you mean the thermostat on the engines on both units. There should only be one on them. Did H/M send some out w/o relocating them? lol

how crazy. I've seen techs accidentally leave them when installing the cds's and others they were supposed to repair. I bet some Boxxer owners were happy. lol

I like using a thermal relief like they used to use in the first place on the return or inlet side of the pump and a check valve on the outlet side as a safety precaution for when an orifice is clogged , etc. or engine over-revved, so the overheated water won't back-flow. Ihad to do this on the spitfires too.

ok....guess what? yesterday i happened to find out why the comets are burning up....before i shoot off my mouth and tell every one who owns a machine from the big H what they should be told anyway...im gunna give the powers that be an oppurtunity to find out in advance what the problem is...and how to fix it....im not sure how many models are actually affected....but the 427 hydramaster i own sure is...the water pump...looses its seals prematurely...lol and i know why that happens...before i cause a stir...i think its only simple courtesy to allow the people who make the stupid thing an oppurtunity to find out ...before every one and their dog finds out here...lol...801 599 5330.....it took a little efforet on my part...and i am actually out the cost of several hundred dollars in seals....but i did find out whats wrong......you heard it here first...on tmf.....ill clue ya in tonight...obviously if i dont here from a manufactuers rep of some sort .....the manufactuer dosent care if i tell ya....omg...lmao

here is the "fix" for the pump seal leaks on the comet pump....replace it with a cat...heres why....the comet pump according to their web site is only rated to a temp of 140 degrees....lol ....and we all know that the water box gets hotter than that...omg a hypro can run hotter....lol
so.....today i took off the old comet...which by the way cost me some coin to burn the seals out of it ....lol...and i put in a 5cp
hmmmm imagine that...no more seal problems...seeing as how the cat is rated at 190....lmao...now i can understand how mistakes occur....but...uh...lol...you gotta be kiddin me. the comet website actually has the information in the repair section of the site...not in the spec sheets for the pumps....but my god....common sense will tell you that if you dont know what you are doing...stop doing it...lol...that would include desiging a machine that you have no clue about its temp ratings....so...the whole bodification...took about 1 and a half hours...except i still have to relocate the chem pump....but the shut off valve fit right in where it was originally...lol...stay tuned for the up comming exhaust modifications that keep you from blowing the rings off of your engine...rotfl....stop lubricating your blower untill you read the next fix...omg,,,and if you need more details on how to build the rails.....the number is still the same
