I hope someone can answer my question. I have a Prism color dye kit from Von Schrader. I have recently run out of dye site cleaner. My Interlink distributor tells me I dont need the dye site cleaner. He tells me I just need an acid side rinse. But the instructions that came with the kit and the classes I took say it calls for both. What should I do?
    Thank you.

I would listen to the label over an opinion.

If you can get the dye site cleaner from Von Shrader, it will be beneficial. But your Interlink guy is right that the job will turn out just fine with only the acid side dye prep product. That is the real key to getting thsoe dyes to strike on nylon. The cleaner is just a little extra step.

Certainly if you have trouble getting the cleaner, I would not stop doing color corrections. Try a spot or two. I think you will find the results just fine. You can still order in the cleaner for future jobs.

BTW - The Prism system is my favorite of several spot dye systems I used.
