Why is it several encap products come with or can have protector added to for co-application and noone co-applies regular cleaners with built in protector?I know chem-dry has done that for years.

    I'm just guessing....

Because encap does not get rinsed away with extraction?????

Again chem-dry does co-apply and most of their franchises now extract.I was told once that carpet protector was like wood stain-put on let it dwell and take off the excess.Only the excess with be removed. There are some extraction products that advertise built in protector. I was thinking if it works for some why not all?
The great thing is that you would not have to rewet carpets that you just spent alot of effort to dry as much as possible.

DING! DING ! DING! We have a winner.

HWE extraction removes too much of the protector. Fluorochemical polymers take a couple hours to dry and cure. Prior to that time they can be removed by extraction or simply by sticking to the bottom of your shoes as the technician walks around cleaning the carpet.

Because a lot of the protector that gets applied ends up being removed, co-applied protectors (in HWE sitauations) tend to leave relatively little protection.

Non-believers are encouraged to try apply protector eachw ay on 1/2 a room of carpet in their own home or office for confirmation.
