Hello, I let my rinse jug go empty while operating the unit and it has caused a chatter and airlock in my line what are some things I can do to remedy it? Thanks, Christina Clean.

Keep your rinse jug full :) One thing we tell our high volume cleaners is the upper shelf just above the front chem jug holds a 5-gallon head pack perfectly. If you find you are running the 2 1/2 jug out to fast give that a try. Works great!

I have a 56, I do this every once in a while, just fill it up and run your bleeder hose with the rinse meter on and off over and over, sometimes close the bleeder hose off to build pressure and realese over and over to, I usually get the air out in a min or two

Thanks for the replies :) It ended up being two things an air lock from the rinse jug that was remidiated by the bleed line advice and the chatter was caused by some worn valves in the water pump that needed replacing.

It's plain and simple poor engineering when this happens. There are too many truckmount manufacturers out there doing this. The water pump MUST be gravity fed!!!! If the water pump is not gravity fed you loose prime in your pump and you get the air lock you mention. This in turn, destroys your seals and o-rings. Which you have stated happened already. Find someone who is passionate enough about the well being of your truckmount and your pocket book to resolve this issue for you. This problem is such an easy fix and you will never have to worry about buying new check valves or seals for a looooooong time. Someone on this board said that his unit could not be modified to accommodate a raised waterbox. Well that is absurd because number 1 - Never surrender to an inanimate object. There is always a way to modify these machines. And it may not look pretty but it will work PROPERLY. Anyone who tells you make sure the solution is full all the time is a joke. They don't know about carpet cleaning. When the solution jug is empty it should not hinder the pumps operation and cause damage. Find someone who is passionate about making your poorly engineered truckmount work properly. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings but it is poor engineering.

Cleanco has been in business for quite a long time.

I think a butler and wm1200 go the gravity fed way too so if it works for them?

I do the same as Tron with the bleeder hose and if it still pulsates check the pump's hi pressure seals.

This is an issue with Cleancos we have seen before. Although the pump seals can be changed at a shop, it is pricey and causes downtime to do so. Therefore, making sure that jug is full would be your best bet to get around this design issue. Using a 5-gallon one like another member said would definitely help if you got a lengthy job. Another problem with these units that can cause serious damage is the oil level tubing on the face panel. Never trust these. We just replaced a blower for someone with little to no fluid in the blower and plenty in the sight tube.
