I was wondering does citrus solvent mix with water? Can you dilute it with water and use it as a spotter? I know Stanley Steemer only uses a citrus solvent spotter. However when I have tried it on carpet it was difficult if not impossible to rinse. There are cleaners in our area who mix it in their prespray and some who spray it straight on trashed walkways. I know when they do it's not possible to get all that solvent out even with a strong rinse imo. Any input appreciated!

you can mix your cs 50/50 for spotter, or 2 to 4 0z. per gallon of your pre-spray for a really good clean job

    Rob:

Pure "citrus oil" doesn't mix with water. And it doesn't rinse well at all. It needs to be emulsified in order to be mixed with water.

CitruSolvit isn't pure and does mix with water. Most products with the name "Citrus" in them do.

Personally, I don't understand why a supplier would supply a product that won't mix with water and doesn't rinse, when the application called for depends so heavily upon water.

I agree with Duane Dzolv All is a citrus product that wont mix with water I beleive it is a Harvard product, on the other hand Bridgepoints Citrus Solv does mix and rinses although the rinsing does take a bit of effort.
