Yep the green stuff. I tried a sample of it a couple of years ago and wasn't impressed. There are better soap free cleaners available. SCOTT W - where you at?
mkpol1 did you use dfc 105, 210 or heavy duty degreaser. DFC 105/210 in my books are great upholstery sprays but dont cut it for carpet pre-spray. Also unimpressed I tried DFC Heavy duty and it is night and day. WHen you rinse with DFC 105 it is even better.
Chemspec is a competitor. As much as I appreciate the invitation to comment, I won't speak negatively of a competitor. Green products are not meant for the nasty jobs. Those are not the folks who typically want to use of green products. Even if a green product does not do as great a job of removing soil as a more powerful cleaner, it still beats leaving a carpet dirty. That is what is really unhealthy! Our CleanFree is similar to the DFC product. No soap. No detergents. No solvents. etc. Sure, I think our product is better. But neither green product will out-clean something with a lot of pH and solvents. Both products should do well on moderate levels of soil.
Did a job today where I ran DFC heavy duty through the Cimex then HWE with DFC 105 in the porty. good results! product is cheap too
I used as a pre-spray and rinse for carpets a few years back. I have had better soap free cleaners like Pro's Choice Oxygen Release Emulsifier.
It matters what products in specific you used though. The difference between DFC 105 and DFC heavy duty in my case is quite astounding on filthy carpets.
