Im new to the whole truckmount scene so I was wondering how do you go about mixing the chemicals. Im use to the ol' Rug Doctor from my local Wal-Mart.

If I wanted to mix my Powdered Extraction Detergent with my Odor Counteractant all into my 5 Gallon solution bottle would it be possible without screwing something up. That way I could clean and deodorize at the same time...

I bought a 50# container of Carpet Cop [Truckmounts: 1 1/2 lbs. per 5 gal. stock (Meter)]... And I have 1Gallon of Multi-Fresh Citrus Odor Counteractant [Truckmounts: 32 oz. per 5 gal. stock (Meter)]..

I don't know the formulas for the products you are using, but I can answer in general.

Most water based deodorizers that are mainly fragrances can be mixed with prespray. But not every customer likes fragrance. I like cherry fragrance. Many people are sensitive to any fragrance or simply don't like cherry. So you have to be careful what you add on every job.

Most fragrances come from oils. If you overuse fragrance, you will leave oil behind which can attract soil.

Soecific types of deodorizers - enzyme products, pairing agents, odor absorbers, etc. should be used according to label directions. Many will interfere with action of presprays.

Once again Scott W. is right on with his advice. I second that advice. Never Never Never put a fragrance in with your prespray without asking the customer first. Some presprays have fragrances but they are benign and evaporate quickly.

Cleaning and deoderizing all at once is a goal I had at one time too. I tried many combinations and none worked even close to as well as making them too steps.

There is one product that deoderizes and cleans all at once but not everyone likes the smell so make sure you let the customer smell it before you use it. The name of the only product I ever tried that did both at the same time is "Kill Odor Plus" from Chemspec.

Good luck finding something else that does both but if you do come back and tell us what it is okay.

    Ken Raddon.
