Does anyone know what the Chem-dry cleaning solution is or what its compared to where you can buy it etc? Is it a pre spray? do they rinse ? Ive never used them and I want to know a lil more of my competition.
I don't for sure but hot cabonite bubbles sounds like Oxy clean to me. They don't rinse very good so they leave alot of soap behind. I have to use ALOT of defomer when I follow them.
It is a carbonated detergent/ I call it Tide for carpets. And it is a mess to go after them and fix things. Actually if used correctly it can be a great intermediate cleaing process. But other emergency mother in law treatment I would let it near my carpet. Just my 2 cents. If I am not mistaken; a larger chem company made a carbonate Enzyme cleaner a while back; I tried it and it was awesome; but not sure why they discontinued it.
There is a company called "Carbonated Solutions" that sells a cleaner very similar to what Chem Dry uses. I beleive they were associated with Chem Dry at one time. Chem Dry products are sold only to the franchisees, so you can't just go out and buy the same product. The carbonation is done similar to fountain soft drinks. Carbon dioxide under pressure is added to the cleaning solution. Maybe someone from Chem Dry who visits this formum will add more details.
Carbonation created in the solution because of the mixing of 2 of the major ingredients, baking soda and citric acid, and can me maintained by pressurizing with CO2. no detergents or soaps.
Back before CD used truck mounts I had a custy show me where they were unable to clean up the runs from her dog because they only had bonnets! They swirled the foul smelling excrement with the bonnet and placed a swivel-rocker on top of the left behind dog behind resi-poo to cover it up! When CD first came on the scene, all they did in their ads was run down steamers in an attempt to give them a bad rep. Now they rely on TMs with a funky steam-carbonated injection system. A classic case of, "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em".
call jeff at carbonated solutions 580-223-2421 its a good chemical, jeff fought Cd and won we've been using his stuff for about 4 years with bonnents and extractions tell john in Birmingham gave you his #
Jeff is great, I have been buying his stuff for years. They started to franchise though, so I am not sure if his chemicals would be available to everyone.....
i wonderd. so its thier prespray formula. i have a stand alone fountain carbonator that i thought about experimenting with but i have several problems with the idea though. it takes 120AC power more stuff to install and plumb like Co2 bottle and carbonator platform i use on demand soft water (soft water does not carbonate) heat is the enemy of carbonation. you cant retain carbonation very well in any hot unpressureized state as i recall from my days as a field tech for coke. i have the McCain big mouth for $250 if anyone is interested......
