    Hello Rick

Remember you can always search the board

    Please read this thread

To clean a woolen hand knotted persian rug with urine you need to soak it, so your sister has to accept that just because of the cat urine the colors are damaged and by soaking it is possible that the colors bleed.

There are many products to treat urine ( cat is worst ) by your portabe you can extract many times with water and water and vinegar (acid acetic 5%) you need just a piece of plastic bigger than the rug and something to hold the borders to create a small pit flood the rug with enough water to cover it.

There are also products with bacteria and enzyme like nilodor and many many others, ChemMax's AllOut,

Scott will give you this link http://cleanwiki.com/resources/Free Training Manuals/Successful Urine Decontamination.pdf

You have a wonderful chance to experiment! the Custy is your sister.

    good luck
