    prochem legend se..Does any body know how much oil the cat pump water pump holds ? Think mine is low .Howeve the glass to check it is in a place that can't be seen..Thanks

    Hi Dirtmaster,

    I believe you have a CAT 5CP pump in that machine, and these typically hold in the vicinity of 17-19 ounces when drained. But not being able to see the level inhibits this method.

    That being said, you will need to ultimately find a way to visually access the eye on the pump, whether with a mirror or a strained neck. You cannot overfill these pumps. The oil should be smack on the red eye in the center of the eye. You can use genuine CAT pump oil or an ISO 68 hydraulic oil. Prochems tend to be rather jammed, so get yourself a good small mirror, like the type dentists use. You can find these for like $2 in the toothpaste aisle in your local megamart.
