Hey guys. Im in the process of rebuilding my powermatic 2100. My Cat Model #31 has no relief valve or dump valve or chemical injection. Can anyone tell me what exactly I need to get this thing working properly. It dosnt have to be back to original I just want to be able to get my psi up and my chemical tank hooked up. Im also going to be running a bosh propane 65000 btu on damand heat unit.Is this a good idea? Thanks . Joe
If you are talking about a bosch home use water heater then it will not take the high pressure of tile cleaning so I don't think it will work. You need one with high PSI plumbing. They unloader valve is the part that is after pump with the adjustment knob on it to control your pressure. It sounds like you need to get a hold of a powerwasher supply house to get hooked up with the parts that you need including the chemical injector. A good online powerwasher distributor or even Interlink supply will have all the parts you need and they will walk you through the rebuild process. Hope this helps Drew
Thanks drew. I Called a local service guy. Hopefully he can take care of me for a reasonable price. I was planning on putting the bosch system befor the pump. As far as price, their very reasonable.
A cat pump will wear the seals out faster if you plan on feeding it water over 160 degrees. They say not to go over 130 degrees under no inlet pressure ( ie gravity feed) and for each degree over 130 then add 1/2 PSI inlet pressure. Max temp with regular pump seals installed about 160 under some inlet pressure. High temps seals can be installed and then I think that they say that you can run up to 180 or 200 degrees under slight inlet pressure.
