Can anyone here please tell me if they've ever had a problem taking off the plastic hose cuffs that come on the vacuum hose. I am aware they are reverse threads but they just won't budge. I have some of the Mytee twist/swivel cuff links I want to put on them. I just got two 2"x50' hoses and am getting ready to cut the last few inches off if I have to but would rather not if possible. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Johnny

Cutting them is the quickest and best option

That's the conclusion I was coming to but I wanted to make sure first. Thank you, Johnny

A lot of new hoses have the cuffs glued on, You will have to cut it.

Yeah and a lot of the time the glue is gobbed on so bad it blocks off half the hose!

Thanks guys. I cut them off. It was driving me crazy. I've never gotten a hose that had the cuffs glued on before.

Like said they may be glued on.. Try very hot water, soak them see if that helps if they are not glued...

I usually run them under my hot water hose on my machine, 20 seconds of boiling water makes it far easier to get them on or off

I'll have to remember the hot water trick. I already cut them off so it's too late for my hose this time around, but next time!
